Neo-Nazis Chased Out of Town

The neo-nazis produce a paltry presence to protest an anti-racism workshop held
Tails between their legs, the haters prepare to leave
What to do? We're outnumbered 100:1
Crowds follow as the cops escort the nazis to their car
Cops hold the crowds back for them to get in their car
Defeated

This Saturday, October 3rd, 2009, the neo-nazi National Socialist Movement (NSM) has threatened to demonstrate against an anti-racist workshop being held at the YWCA on East Lake Street in Minneapolis. The NSM has declared the anti-racist organizers "traitors" to white supremacy.  A counter-demonstration, which promises to be large, has been called ahead of the Nazis planned arrival at 10am.

At a press conference on Friday, organizers from the ad-hoc committee opposing the Nazis spoke about the importance of not allowing them a toehold in Minneapolis, before fanning out to leaflet the neighborhood.  "We have a two and a half decade history of preventing neo-nazi organizing in the Twin Cities," said Dan Gannon, one of the organizers.  "To ignore them would embolden them.  It would give them a toe in the door."

Minneapolis Prisoner Support: Letters to Prisoners September 14th

09/14/2009 18:00

In an increasingly repressive society, prisoner support is an essential aspect of an effective culture of resistance. It's an easy thing for people on the outside to send letters or books, and can provide valuable material and emotional aid. The state aims to isolate "criminal" individuals, and one way we can combat that is by communicating with is captives. Arise! Bookstore is one of many organizations in the Twin Cities geared at contributing to prisoner support.
