St. Paul, Minnesota -- August 12, 2008 -- Impeach for Peace (IfP), along with others looking to demonstrate at the Republican National Convention (RNC), filed a lawsuit Friday with the help of the ACLU of Minnesota in Ramsey County District Court demanding our right to free speech. Plaintiffs include: Jodin Morey and Mikael Rudolph of Impeach for Peace, Colleen and Ross Rowley, and Ron Deharporte.

On Tuesday June 17th, activists and avid bikers met for the second time at the Flying Penguin bike store in Mankato, MN with the intent of hosting a Critical Mass. The route went along Madison Ave, Broad St and Riverfront drive ending up at Pagliai's pizza on South Front St. All in all, aside from one accident the rally was a success, bringing in about 40 bikers including mayor John Brady.

Flood forecasts issued by National Weather Service (NWS) offices for the Cedar and Rock rivers in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin have been woefully too low - catching the public off-guard (see links below).
